Our Philosophy

We believe in a program which is based on individual and group needs, suited to a wide range of developmental patterns and individual differences which are implemented by:

Q-What are your hours of operation?
A- Our Center is open from Monday-Friday from 7:30 am- 6:30 pm. The Center is closed on major holidays.

Q-What ages do you take at your Center?
A- Our Early Childhood Center (Fort Lee Campus) cares for children from 2 months old until approximately 30 months (2 ½ years old). Our Preschool (Palisades Park Campus) cares for children that will be attending Pre K-3 and Pre K- 4.

Q- Are you state licensed?
A- Our Center is licensed by the Bureau of Licensing in the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services. A copy of our current license must be posted in a prominent location in the Center.

Q- How will you determine my child’s class placement?
A- At Les Enfants we believe in grouping children according to their age and developmental needs. At the Early Childhood Center, infants, toddlers, and younger preschoolers all have their special space suited to their needs and stages of development. At the Preschool, children are placed in their classes according to their date of birth:

Pre K Prep: Child must be three years of age by December 31 st of the school year.
Pre K-3: Child must be 3 by October1st or your town’s kindergarten cut-off date.
Pre K-4: Child must be 4 by October 1 st or your town’s kindergarten cut-off date

Q- What supplies do I need to bring for my child?
A- At the infant center it is not required for the parents to bring in any equipment such as cribs, playpens, bouncy seats, or swings. Supplies vary for each age group so please click here in order to see a list of items needed for your child.

Q-Do children have to be potty trained?
A- No, children do not need to be potty trained in order to attend our Center. At our Early Childhood Center we do have bathrooms in each classroom in order to help children during the potty training process. Please see our Toilet Training section in our Parent Handbook for more information.

Q- Do you require a tuition deposit?
A- Yes. Upon enrollment, a non-refundable deposit equal to one month’s tuition will be held by the Center as security. Deposits will be forfeited if the child withdraws prior to the end of the school year (June). Please note: Deposits may not be used for the month of May for Half & Full Day Program.

Q- Do you offer a discount for more than one child?
A- Yes, we offer a 10 % discount for each sibling in attendance.

Q- Do you have a playground?
A- Both Centers do have an enclosed spacious outdoor playground. The children go outside every day (weather permitting) and have the opportunity to go on the playground or go for a walk in the area. Playgrounds meets all safety standards for equipment and shock absorbent surfaces. We also offer an indoor gym for the children to use on days where the weather does not allow us to go outdoors.

Q- Do you serve lunch and snacks?
A- Morning and afternoon juice and snacks are provided as well as milk with breakfast and lunch. Lunches may be purchased for preschoolers ONLY or they may be brought from home. Please note that hot lunches must be brought in a thermos ready to eat. Only infant food will be heated and prepared.

Q- Do you give tuition credit for vacations?
A-Since Center expenses continue and space is reserved whether or not your child is in attendance, no refund of money will be made for absences. Vacations are not credited during the school year. Extended Care families can receive up to four weeks of vacation credit during the summer months.
